68 original art cards to help you find your way. Designed by me, Wendy Aldwyn, these ACTUALIZATION cards may (or may not) help you realize your life’s ambitions. No promises. But they ARE fun to look at, all fanned out on the table.

What ARE these cards?

Some cards represent friends, some are frenemies, some are not what you think they are at first, and some are downright evil. Collectively, these cards could form a cautionary tale of who or what might or might not help you on your path to reach ACTUALIZATION.

The 2 “jokers” in the deck, Annihilation and Restoration represent an extreme, all-or-nothing kind of thinking. If you happen to draw one of these cards, what happens? I guess we’ll just see, won’t we?

It’s all about YOU

Of course it’s all about you.* Just like everyone else, YOU are just trying to find your way through this conundrum called “Life” while causing the least amount of collateral damage, and above all, avoiding harm to yourself and the ones (and things) you love. Will these cards help you do that? Well, NO PROMISES, but people tend to see what they want to see anyway, and I’m sure YOU will find the cards that ring true for you.

*I don’t REALLY believe it’s all about you. 🙂 The universe is a big place.

Make your own rules (OR NOT)

Up to you if you want to make your own game of it, or just relish owning this unique artcard collection. Start up your own ACTUALIZATION Discord group. Trade them, gift them to friends, or hoard them in a metal box under your bed as they gather value (and/or dust) with time. Enjoy!

Creating Actualization

Well, ACTUALIZATION was not top of mind when I started idly sketching these doodles a few years ago. This collection represents about half the characters I’ve created so far, many during the pandemic. Animations of a few of these can be seen on my Youtube channel @WendyAldwyn. But most were languishing away, pencil drawings on scrap paper, in an old cardboard box. It occurred to me that they might best be cohesively shared in a tarot card deck format.

Above is one such animation, found on my Instagram page.

So I scanned in my pencil drawings to Photoshop, and, keeping the sketchy look while in some cases painstakingly removing notebook paper lines, cleaned up, colorized, named, and formatted them each with a succinct, punny description (misspellings intentional), and slapped a common back to all. I’ve also got a draft for a board game started, but not sure that they need it. Let me know your thoughts.

I really enjoyed putting all this together – I hope you are entertained as well.
