Animations

Animation is a character-building experience

I use Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop CC to build my characters (though I recommend a vector-based program like Illustrator for most people) and Adobe Character Animator CC to bring them to life, even though sometimes they hate me for it.

Fairy comes to life at the end of this digital painting and animation demo, and she is not happy about her incarnation.

Or, sometimes you find them in a hole, and you can help them out:

Stories

Spent the pandemic collaborating with family members across the continental US to make animations like this one based on their pets and their voices.
Poet tree is cancelled on social media.

I did this little short animation story about my Sperry duck boots several years ago. Sperry had nothing to do with it. I just liked my little duck boots.

Digital painting and animation demo. This actually runs a bit long, so, my apologies. One of these days I will drastically edit it. One of these days.

Long-term project, ongoing:
Galileo Goes to Heaven

Galileo Goes to Heaven: Intro
After 400 years of being imprisoned in his painting in an obscure planetarium, Galileo is freed by the prayer of a little girl to explore the wonders of the heavens. Work in progress, more segments to come. I plan on incorporating NASA public domain images.
Drew and animated all these mostly true life characters for my Galileo project. Need to get back and finish this!
Aristotle at my imaginary Galileo planetarium. There is a couple more clips to be seen on my Youtube channel. More planned. I will assemble all these together into one animation THIS YEAR. (I do not have a team to help me with this. Hey, are YOU an animator?)

I have 3 other long-term projects in the works, as well.

There are more animations on my Youtube channel. I’ve invented and animated over 100 characters. Please drop by and have a look, and a like!
